Italian club AC Milan say Arsenal's valuation of Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor is too high and have ruled themselves out of signing the player.
The 24-year-old had been named as Milan's main target for next season.
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said: "The request for £35.8m by Arsenal is an impossible request."
Cristiano Ronaldo has met with Manchester United officials for the first time since speaking of his desire to leave Old Trafford.
But Ronaldo only met with club doctors as well as medical staff from the Portuguese Football Association to assess the midfielder's ankle injury.
Wednesday's meeting between Ronaldo and United doctors took place in Lisbon.
No decision has been made on whether the 23-year-old will have surgery on his right ankle.Todays football news ! whats your opinions ?
so basically Ac Milan are smart enough not to take a risk of spending so much for Adebayor
and C.Ronaldo again is not sure about what he is going to do of have happen to him (meaning surgery)
thanks for the update but how do you decide best answer to this please provide 10 points so i can asses how it fells to get them from you
:-(I)
i reckon ac milan saying adebayors valuation is too high is just an excuse to not buy him and i dont really care about ronaldoTodays football news ! whats your opinions ?
yea the price tag for adebayor is huge but he did put 30goals away last season.... barcelona are also looking for him?i wonder do they have the funds?.. Hmm christiano may have an ankle problem and medics may be flying out to see him but he hasnt answered anyone yet? the plot thickens!..
adebayor kept arsenal in the hunt last season...not surprising they ask for a huge sum to keep him - wouldn't surprise me if he stays
ronaldo's news right there isn't really all that important as it wont have a bearing on if he leaves or notTodays football news ! whats your opinions ?
AC Milan need to quit making rumors about themselves. They are a dirt poor club who are looking for free publicity. First ronaldinho- too expensive, then eto'o- too expensive, then they wanted sheva back- don't know what happened there, Then Adebayour- too expensive, if they know they cant afford them then why do they even bother?
And ronaldo is way too overrated. Just because he has a couple of tricks up his sleve millions of 10 year olds think that hes the best! You want some real news! The most expensive right back ever joined barca. Now thats News!!
P.S. if the english could tell who has talent and who doesn't then.... yea you guessed it! You would have a national team that wouldn't get man handled.
If Adebayor is worth that, then Ronaldo is worth £100M.
Are you sure that's not Euros rather than Pounds Sterling?
United should stand firm about Ronaldo. The doctors meeting has to take place so that they can compare scans and assess when the damage was done, as well as the treatment required.
Glad you started with some lovely Arsenal news Mr K !!
Lets say, that what you've put, is correct (im being very sceptical about these rumours at the moment), then im pleased that AC Milan have pulled out of the "poaching" of Ade. £35.8 million seems like an absolutely ridiculous amount, even for an excellent Striker like Ade! Lets hope others keep well alone now, and he stays at Arsenal for 08/09 at least.
Ronaldo .... oh dear what a shame, bad ankle. la la la not bothered.
AC Milan need a top striker,Ronaldo is over the hill, and Pato is not mature enough.AC Milan have money to try to buy Ronaldinho, why won't they have money to buy Adebayor? But I do agree with Galliani, the 35 million pound pricetag is too high for Adebayor.
On one hand,I'm happy because by speaking to United doctors and officials,it means that Ronaldo is almost definitely staying at United, not that I've fully forgiven him.To do that he has to score at least 70 goals next season. On the other hand we're looking at a piece of dead weight for at least a couple of months, and it's stupid of him to go vacationing with his girlfriend instead of assessing the injury immediately after EURO 2008.
