Northern americans (USA mainly) must pay royalties either to fifa or English FA for using the name football.?

It sad that the world biggest sport n game Football is considered in USA as american football whereas real football is known as soccer overthere. Football dating back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries BC where as american football around 100 yrs or a little bit more. Thats pure plagiarism, northern american(USA) must pay royalties to FIFA or English FA, but i think to fifa its better, for for using our name and whats more disgusting american football just like "lost babes in z woods" game. if i want to watch "lost babes in z woods" game there r special games for it or even movies.

5 Billion pounds each year should be charged to the American Football (but it involves nearly no kicking its not football my god) association.

Fifa please save the name football from shame against these northern americans (USA)Northern americans (USA mainly) must pay royalties either to fifa or English FA for using the name football.?
Oh God, not this again.

For those of you who are really too dumb to use Wikipedia, here is a brief outline of WHY American football is so called and why it is NOT a misnomer.

The actual word football originally refers to the concept of playing a ball game "on foot", as opposed to horseback. (therefore, if you want to be really strict and pedantic, basketball is a type of football too!) In medieval Britain it was a catch-all term for many different games: some only allowed players to carry the ball in their hands, some only permitted kicking and others allowed either.

When the Football Association was founded in 1863 their first task was to agree on one single code of rules - up until then, the member clubs had their own rulebooks. Early draft rules actually allowed players to carry the ball, but in the end the majority of clubs decided on a kicking-only game (goalkeepers were introduced a few years later), which some members wouldn't accept so they resigned and joined the Football Association.

By that time various types of football had spread to the USA and was sort of in the same situation England had been in before the FA's formation: a bunch of different codes all loosely similar and all called football. The defining moment in the evolution of American football came in 1874 when the McGill University Rugby team went to Massachusetts to play Harvard, first at "Harvard Rules" then at Rugby. Immediately the Americans were intrigued by Rugby and it influenced their own games. At first though, the ensuing contests were extremely dangerous, with players regularly getting killed, which led to changes such as mandatory padding, as well as changes in the rules that took away rucks and introduced forward passing to create modern American football.
Correction: I meant to say "they resigned and formed the Rugby Football Union", not "joined the Football Association".

That's stupid. Really, that's like saying Rugby League should pay royalties to Rugby Union for being called rugby. You can't have copyright on a word, unless it is being used in the context of your product and/or it has a unique connection. E.g.: Nike can copyright Swoosh, but only if it's written in their font.
That's ridiculous and I'm not even an American.Northern americans (USA mainly) must pay royalties either to fifa or English FA for using the name football.?
i'd love to see FIFA try to charge us for calling soccer soccer. we'd kick their *ss and take THEIR money.
