Punishment for Red Cards in World Cup?

Hello.

I know the standard punishment for a red card in association football is a 1 match ban for two yellow-card offences, and a 3 match ban for a straight red. I was just wondering whether the punishments were modified during a world cup to allow for the shortness of the tournament or whether they stayed the same?

Thank you in advance.Punishment for Red Cards in World Cup?
I have not heard of 3 matches used as standard in any league.

In the 2010 FIFA World Cup, any two cautions received in the same match will incur a send off and automatic suspension from the next match.

If a player receives cautions in two separate matches, the player will be suspended from the next match. Many leagues use 5 accumulated cautions... FIFA WC uses 2.
