Should Gibraltar be allowed to join UEFA and FIFA?

The Football Association of Gibraltar have just been rejected membership of UEFA after 45 member nations voted against the idea. That left 4 nations who were undecided and 3 who voted in favour (who interestingly were England, Scotland and Wales, which along with Northern Ireland make the United Kingdom, keep in mind Gibraltar itself is a British overseas territory).

Sure they may be a micro-nation with a population of only 27,921 people, but I believe that if they are a country, they have the rights to qualify for World Cup's and continental championships, regardless of size.

Also of note is that Gibraltar is only slightly smaller than San Marino, the current smallest nation in UEFA/FIFA.

What do you think?Should Gibraltar be allowed to join UEFA and FIFA?
Well, I don't have any objection to places like Gibralter wanting to put together a federation and compete----why would anybody object to that? As it is though----just like for San Marino---they would have little to no chance of ever winning a game. Why not put these smaller micro-nations into a federation of their own? There are a lot of small island-nations in the Caribbean and in the South Pacific who would fit in too. Just a thought.Should Gibraltar be allowed to join UEFA and FIFA?
I do not believe any small contry has the right to take part they should have to go through a qualifiying compition between them if we are honest most of the little countrys do not have a big enough Stadiums to host games against the big guns of international football which makes it unsafe for the big games to go ahead in the small nationsShould Gibraltar be allowed to join UEFA and FIFA?
what next the vatican forming their own football team? if they want to form a football team then fine but they should have to qualify for the world cup %26amp; euro championships qualifiers. they should go into a group along with san marino, faroe islands, andorra, luxembourg and armenia. these countries bring nothing to the table and should have to earn the right to participate in any qualifiers.
Yes but what is the point , we wouldn't get very far.
