Every Saturday, there are lots and lots of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Football Games Played. These games from NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III Football and you have teams such as Auburn University (Division I), Grand Valley State University (Division II) and Mount Union College (Division III) play games every Saturday and yet, when it comes to national media attention from networks such as ESPN, FOX SPORTS, and CBS SPORTS, NCAA Division I Football gets so much media attention. When it comes to reporting NCAA Football Scores on television, Division I scores are recorded and mentioned while Division II and Division III scores are not mentioned.
Why is it when it comes to NCAA College Football, Division I schools get so much national media but Division II and Division III schools do not get as much media attention as NCAA Division I colleges?
Why does NCAA DIvision II and DIvision III Football not get as much attention as Division I Football?
The other divisions don't have as big of football organizations, so they don't specialize in it as much. However, a place like Florida is probably going to have a bigger organization than South Eaat Missouri State. This also leads to better recruiting and higher publicity.
WowWhy does NCAA DIvision II and DIvision III Football not get as much attention as Division I Football?
For the same reason your intramural team isn't getting as much recognition... Not even close to the level of athletic ability. Why do division 1 colleges play in front of 100,000 people and division 2 plays in front of 15,000?
Smaller schools have a more regional fan base and obviously less people went there. The best players also go D1.
I grew up about 20 minutes from Grand Valley and they don't even make the local paper or news until the playoffs start. Sad because they have some very good teams. Why does NCAA DIvision II and DIvision III Football not get as much attention as Division I Football?
because they have big names, better players, and more money
Because of the recruiting class, and the quality of their players.
Because we don't find Division II or III worth watching. I have now asnwered your obvious question. I have blessed you with my knowledge. You may now continue with your existence.
