Therefore, whilst not a worldwide sport, Cricket, (mainly due to being the major sport in India and popular in ex / current Commonwealth countries) has a huge player base.
China have their own version of Chess, their version could not be included in the figures as it's rarely played outside China, and follows different rules, regulations and pieces.

Not chess! You must live in a very insular enviroment if that's what you believe. Tennis %26amp; golf are much more widely played, and besides, chess is NOT a sport. I thought we sorted that out a few days ago.
