How should racism in football be dealt with?

Racism affects every skin colour - whether you are white, brown or black. For the record, I am white skinned.



In my personal opinion the real reason why racism flourishes so much in stadiums around Europe is because of FIFA and UEFA don't care about it. Every time you come across games where large sections of the crowd have racially abused a player by making monkey chants and other rude gestures, both FIFA and UEFA responded by giving a slap on the wrist to the guilty clubs and country through pitiful fines. The fines are so minscule that it is actually does nothing.



Heskey was recently abused by Croatian fans. The Croatian fans were also found guilty of racially abusing the Turks a few months ago. It's the same in Eastern Europe and Spain as well.



What they should do is order the clubs and local football association to remove offenders during the game, immediately. I think relegation is way too harsh but they should penalise clubs and country by docking points or making them play their games behind closed doors.

By studying video tapes after the racist attacks on players and banning the offenders from every ground.. docking points is difficult as you could get rivals infiltrating crowds to get them points deducted. I honestly can say apart from a Chelsea match where they was handing out racist literature I've not witnessed it in England, it seems to happen more in Europe so FI FA should step in and punish them accordingly.



At Arsenal if a supporter offends you in any way there ia a number you can text... you text their seat no and a steward will come and eject them, and their membership will be revoked, yes the offending club should be fined and i think they are...Just a point but racism can be aimed at the same colour as well.. after the bombings in London scumbag Hull city supporters were chanting at QPR fans ~ Town full of bombers... your just a town full of bombers# SCUMBAGS!
i guess it can't be dealt with at the moment. we will just have to hope the government does enough to educate kids today well enough for them to realise everyone is equal. then the next generation of fans at games will know better than to be racist.



another thing i don't understand is that whilst you have to be pretty damn thick in the skull to have racist views anyway, how they can be so proud of that that they feel the need to shout it out at matches?



the only possible solutions to cut it out now is to ban all the teams fans for a match if group chanting is heard. that way the non-racist fans will make sure that stupid minority keep their daft mouths shut.

(or they could put snipers on top of the stands with those microphones that pic up noises at a distance... :D)



think how difficult it is to ban individuals. if you've ever been to a match, you'll notice theres a lot of people there making it easy to hide. their accounts for buying tickets can be removed but they can just use someone elses nameHow should racism in football be dealt with?

Ban every fan who shouts it, simple. It's disgusting and how people are so backward nowadays is beyond me.
