What does 8h mean in football/rugby boots?

I have come across this description quite a bit, and couldn't find the answer on the internet straightaway.

I know what SG/FG/HG etc means, but not sure what a description like "H8" means. Examples are this puma boot: puma esito xl h8 on the rugbyboots.co.uk website and the puma king xl h8 boot on the sportsdirect web site. Thing is: there is also a puma king xl (non-h8) rugby boot on the rugbyboots website, and this one is also soft ground??

As a bonus point question: I'm looking at these rugby boots to be used to play (association) football, so can anyone tell me if the puma king xl h8 on the sportsdirect website has a legal stud length, and if not, can they be replaced? What does 8h mean in football/rugby boots?
At first i though H8 was what a lot of shoe companies use as foot measurments so. H being how wide your foot is, and 8 how long it is, but then you explained further and its not that.

Im not 100% sure but to me it seams that H8 is just the name of the boot, for example puma 1.08 or predator x and all. You will have the first boot made, so puma king xl would be the starter boot, and then they will make all sorts of variations of the boot, and puma king xl h8 is one of them.

The reason it could be h8 is that the starter boot only had a different number of studs and the puma king xl h8 has 8 studs, which would explain the reason for h (8).

As to your question about playing football (i presume you mean the proper word for football, and not american football), you can not use those to play football in, the studs are too long yes, but you can change them and then put in smaller ones that you can buy online or at any descent sport store. But these shoes are designed for rugby, so you wont get the same type of support, but they should be fine.

Hope this helps!

Ant.
