If your too old, then play for a youth football league that there may be in town. Don't give up if its something you really have a desire to do. Pop Warner teams typically hold their first practice on August 1st.

Typically in the spring. I've seen teams schedule registration as early as March, or as late as May.

Rosters may fill up. Preference is typically given to returning players from the prior year, and to siblings of prior players. In such cases, your local team may sign a waiver allowing you to play on a nearby out of district team with room.

AAU runs a youth tackle league in the Orlando area. Most YMCA's also run youth flag football leagues, and i9 Sports runs 5 vs. 5 youth flag football leagues.

The youngest Pop Warner division is Tiny Mites for ages 5-6-7, 75 lbs or less. Some conferences also offer flag football for this same age group. The older you are, the more likely it is you'll be on the learning curve behind those who started very young.

|||The West Orange Wildcat Tiny Mite roster was full by at least late July this past year. The Olympia Spartans are a nearby Pop Warner team. The Windermere Bobcats and West Orange Warriors are nearby AAU affiliates. The Roper YMCA offers flag. i9 Sports offers flag in Lake and West Orange counties
